This is Dimitri - she is a Muscovy Duck that used to live in the Maranatha Island neighborhood in South Mills NC. She loved to hang out in our backyard, have a little snack (either a mini cinnamon raisin bagel or a piece of multi-grain bread) and then she would finish off her visit with a very elaborate bathing ritual that took about half an hour.

I watched the whole thing one day and took pictures - she said she didn't mind ;o) Here are those and other pix I took for all to see. She was a very friendly duck, even letting me pet and hold her. Her nickname is Tweep because that is the only sound that she makes. I miss her and think of her often.
