For as far back as I can remember I have always loved to draw; I am a self-taught painter and have had no formal training whatsoever. I started painting using oils and with working full-time my painting fell by the wayside until a few years ago when a friend introduced me to acrylics and I haven't stopped painting since. I love to paint flowers and animals with roses being my favourite flower of all. I was encouraged to design my own patterns and I have been a published artist since 2006 with my first three publications being featured on the covers of the Aus. Fine Art & Decorative Painting magazine, my work has also been published in the Aus. Artist's Palette. I discovered Scratchboard Art in February 2008, this is a relatively unknown art medium especially here in Australia and with no one here to teach me I have "jumped in the deep end" and taught myself, I am now totally addicted to this art form.
