| When you think about the word slavery, what do you think about? Whips, chains, lynches or even rape? Many people don't even really know what slavery was about. Slavery was basically about money.It later on progressed to blacks and whites hating each other.Slavery was also a trade: if I (the white man) go to a foreign country and/or place, find some people to work for me for little to nothing and their pay would be their life. Many peole think the white man was just being mean to black people, wrong-o, the white people could've hired other white people but htese people wanted money in return for their labor. Here's something to think about: the vitamin water commercial with 50 Cent, those people don't give a care about his health. They though in their meeting we get someone who is all buff supposibly form the water and attract people to product now these people have attracted yhou to their product. In my eyes that is aproducy of slavery.Even though you rhink are free you may not be as free as you really want to be. |
