About Me |
Needlework is my favorite hobby, and I have been doing some form of needlework sinec I was a teenager. Learned to crochet at 16 on my own. Later in the 70's I bought lots of crewel and surface embroidery kits. Eventually I found cross stitching, and like most stitchers used aida at the start. Later i found my local needlework shop and was introduced to stitching on linen. I've never turned back since then. I love linen, and well, I went from stitching cute things and Christmas things to loving reproduction samplers, and stitching all sorts of needlework accessories, smalls as they are called. I'm still learning, still loving the different forms of needlework, including hardanger, and withdrawn thread work. There is much to learn in the field of needlework, and I have not yet tired of working with my needle.
I live in the Southwestern United States, love the climate here in New Mexico. Married to a lovely gentleman for the last 15 years and counting. Enjoy gardening, and reading. Teach two bible studies at my church weekly and sing with the Praie Team at church. Born again Christian for the last 33 years and still in love with Jesus. Hope you are too! Introduce Yourself:
THere are a few things I love in life, my husband, of course, and before him comes the Lord Jesus. Those are the roots of my real life. And since we haven't any children, I have a few things that I enjoy beyond that. Redecorating the house and changing the landcsping in the yard has been a job I have inherited over time, and though it is work, it is also a very rewarding investment of time. I also stitch, and that is my 'pleasureable' pasttime. I do really enjoy all forms of needlework, and it is my way of unwinding. I love to read, and I enjoy exploring the many wonderful Christian sites on the web. I stay busy between these jobs at home and the past times I have come to enjoy. LIfe is good! God is even Gooder!!! |

THe bible has to be the source of inspiration for my life. It is really what I want my life to be patterned after. So I have no Quote per se, except to say that the Word of God is all you will need to bring your life to a place of true joy, fulfillment, and strength for the journey. It is the Everlasting Word of God, and it has within it the power to transform life, yours and mine, and even this world of ours because it is God's Word to us. |
Rules I live by:
Think before you speak. Keep your mind clear of anything cruel, bitter, or negative. Think on things that build and enrich life, not tear it down, or others. Be at peace with all men as much as it is possible to do so. Laugh, all the time. It is the grace that makes you more appealing to others, and will help you take life's bumps with grace, and rather than landing hard on those bumps in life, you will skip over them like stones in a river bed. Life is good, remember that, and enjoy it, and those in it. Give grace to those who need it, you'll need it one day too. Forgive, start your day out that way, and you will never carry the ugly baggage that bitterness is made of. Nor the sickness it can bring. Strive for a life that is full of righteous acts, loving ways, merciful to others, and full of peace within. Share your joy, and learn to laugh more when it isn't the easiest thing to do. Bless and don't curse others. Pray when you can't change the situation, God will answer you. Be faithful...in your marriage, in your job responsibilities, to your creditors, and to what you know is right in your own heart. Give people the benefit of the doubt, encourage those who are less than you want them to be, so they can become as good as they are capable of being. |
